August 20, Farm-To-Table Dinner

Join us at The Goat Cheese Lady Farm on Saturday, August 20, 2016, to enjoy an evening with the goats while dining on gourmet creations and basking in the peacefulness of the country to the songs of the crickets.


Chef David Cook will prepare a five course meal featuring farm raised and locally fresh foods.  Chef Cook has a diverse history including classical French and molecular gastronomy, presiding as chef on a private yacht, working at five star restaurants on the East Coast, and opening the Wobbly Olive in Colorado Springs.


The farm opens at 5 pm, the farm tour will begin shortly thereafter.  Seating begins  at 5:30. Reservations and prepayment required.  $100 per person.  Call Lindsey for reservations, 719-651-9819.

I am Lindsey. At first I was a city girl. Then I was an urban farmgirl, attempting to balance city and farm life. Now, after moving to the country, I have embarked on life as a rural farmgirl, complete with my husband, the Animal Whisperer, man of exceptional knowledge and patience, two boys who are louder than my sister and I ever were, a herd of milking goats, and a flock of egg-laying chickens. Coyotes, mice, country dogs and prairie dogs are frequent visitors. Just 45 minutes north is Colorado Springs, the setting for our first six years in the goat world. Our family. Our city friends. Our introduction to cheesemaking. But we...and our growing farm and soon-to-be creamery...have set up shop down off of Highway 115 in Penrose, Colorado.

    I went to last month’s farm to table dinner and it was an amazing experience. The food was fantastic, the weather couldn’t have been better, a beautiful sunset and I met some wonderful people. I was just explaining the meal to a friend the other night. The flavors … the textures …of course the Colorado wines. Don’t miss this !!!
