There will be food samples, a petting zoo, milking demo, gardening in Colorado and LOADS of information for all ideas of homesteading. Please join us!

On the schedule is a milking and milk handling demonstration at 9:05 and 3:30 with samples to follow, there will be a meat bird demonstration at 10 and 2, with our equipment and a stuffed toy bird, not too graphic although some of the photographs are graphic. There will be a rabbit harvest demonstration at 11 and 2. You can do this all yourself in your own back yard. We will help you. I will have flyers from Justin Weis of Affordable Solar and Wind.

About The Goat Cheese Lady

I am Lindsey. At first I was a city girl. Then I was an urban farmgirl, attempting to balance city and farm life. Now, after moving to the country, I have embarked on life as a rural farmgirl, complete with my husband, the Animal Whisperer, man of exceptional knowledge and patience, two boys who are louder than my sister and I ever were, a herd of milking goats, and a flock of egg-laying chickens. Coyotes, mice, country dogs and prairie dogs are frequent visitors. Just 45 minutes north is Colorado Springs, the setting for our first six years in the goat world. Our family. Our city friends. Our introduction to cheesemaking. But we...and our growing farm and soon-to-be creamery...have set up shop down off of Highway 115 in Penrose, Colorado.

Had a great time and it was nice meeting like-minded folks. Also, I’d never been to Good Earth and couldn’t get out the front door without buying something. I think it will become my new go-to place for all things garden.
