No matter what you believe in:  God, A Higher Power, Science, The Universe, Everything Happens For A Reason, or Nothing.

It is incredible, a miracle, that everything in the Chilean Mine happened the way that it did.

Rocks could have crushed the miners.  The collapse could have caused deadly gases to spew and kill the miners within minutes.  The Chilean government could have decided not to spend the money to rescue 33 men.  One of them could have had a heart attack.  They could have fought each other for power.  The drill could have caused more of a collapse.  The Phoenix 1 could have gotten stuck.

But, It Didn’t.

It is a miracle.

Congratulations to the miners for surviving and to their country for uniting behind them.

About The Goat Cheese Lady

I am Lindsey. At first I was a city girl. Then I was an urban farmgirl, attempting to balance city and farm life. Now, after moving to the country, I have embarked on life as a rural farmgirl, complete with my husband, the Animal Whisperer, man of exceptional knowledge and patience, two boys who are louder than my sister and I ever were, a herd of milking goats, a flock of egg-laying chickens and two pet bunnies. Coyotes, mice, country dogs and prairie dogs are frequent visitors. Just 45 minutes north is Colorado Springs, the setting for our first six years in the goat world. Our family. Our city friends. Our introduction to cheesemaking. But we...and our growing farm and soon-to-be creamery...have set up shop down off of Highway 115 in Penrose, Colorado.

I took the class last week! What a wonderful experience! I finally learned how to milk goats! (don’t pull—squeeeeeeeze!) Lindsey is a patient, gifted teacher. Beautiful place nestled in the hills near Garden of the Gods What a wonderful experience! Worth it!
